KNOWLEDGABLE PERSON

Person specifically qualified to discover a breach or other claim for a Cyber Liability policy. This “knowledgeable person” is required by most Cyber Liability policies and is uniquely defined in each policy. However, in most cases, the knowledgeable person is likely the CEO/President, Chairman, CIO, CTO, Chief Security Officer, Risk Manager, or General Counsel. When a company does not follow those exact titles, the equivalent in the organization is used.
